Former Nittany Lion football and NFL player Lydell Mitchell will take part in the tournament and attend the Aug. 11 reception.
Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Blair County MDIT and the creation of a Child Advocacy Center Model in Blair County, as well as Penn State Altoona Intercollegiate Athletics, and the Penn State Altoona Alumni Society scholarship program.
The Blair County MDIT is a group of professionals who work to effectively and efficiently investigate child abuse cases, utilizing evidence-based practices in an effort to reduce trauma to child victims. Last year, the tournament raised $4,000 toward the development of a Child Advocacy Center Model in Blair County through the Blair County MDIT.
A variety of sponsorship opportunities are also available. Information can be found on the website or by contacting Louisa Lobre-Riley at 814-949-5189 or [email protected].
